The Soul Fire Entrepreneur | The Nest Co-Work + Club

The Nest Co-Work + Club

Lauren, Kaela + Alex

Whew! We made it another trip around the sun. I don’t know about you but 2021 felt like a big year for self-growth after seeing what 2020 drudged to the surface with C0V!D. My business went through a re-model and trimming away of what was no longer serving me anymore and landed me into a position of serving my community in two very necessary ways, “business + pleasure.”

Last year I met with several business owners and built up a queue of their stories and created content for them to help share their passion and mission. It was my way of supporting and nurturing my fellow entrepreneurs especially after such a trying year. I put the project on hold while I sorted out my own direction, and now that I am finally clear about what I desire, it was time to revisit this project and make a few modifications and revisions to the content structure.

I have renamed this blog series to be “The Soul Fire Entrepreneur” because I am really interested in spending time and sharing space with entrepreneurs who are in business and doing passion work that is so hot and fierce that it sets a fire to their souls. This can be for both men and women and for people outside of our Green Bay, WI community. My intention for this blog series is to be a vessel of expansion, community and connection. Get ready to grab your surf board because you are about to meet some amazing souls who are creating tidal waves this year! Before we dig into their interview, allow me to give you my referral. I am a founding member at The Nest and was there from the beginning and even though I have a studio and a home office, I chose to become a member for the support and nourishment. Being an entrepreneur can be a lonely road because you don’t often have co-workers to share the burden with and that’s precisely why Alex, along with Kaela and new partner Lauren have set out to do. To give women a nest to retrieve too and create from. Be sure to tell them I sent you! They also have two amazing events and networking opportunities for you to check out this month!

Are there any misconceptions about your field/product/area of expertise? If so how do you educate people about them?

Coworking is a newer concept being brought to the midwest. It is very popular in other regions and our founders (Alex) wanted to bring this to Wisconsin and create a community of mighty women, that are female-forward and encouraging of entrepreneurship.

We execute people with our events and showing off the space. We also use social media to give a sneak peek into the space.

Tell me a favorite client story.

We've had clients join the communtiy just for the community part of the membership. To make friendships and find like-minded women who are in similar boats, to help support each other through their trials of entrepreneurship.

We've also had women join because they needed that "other" space because sharing an office with their hubby was not possible because he was loud when talking on the phone. lol

Who are you looking to attract/serve more?

We are looking to attract any female business owner, who needs a community to have in their back pocket. Who may need a secondary location for working purposes to get her shit done.

We are big into the entrepreneurial world, and very supportive of anyone with entrepreneurial dreams.

For the person who wants to start small - what would you offer them?

We offer 3-month/6-month/12-month memberships.

Starting off with the 3-month membership will allow them to get their feet wet. The 12-month is obviously the better bargain, but starting small they can get a feel for how they will use it, and what they can get out of it.

For the person who wants to go all in - what would you recommend?

We recommend the 12-month paid in full membership because it truly is the best deal! When you pay in full, you actually are paying only for 10 months with 2 months free! Plus you pay once and then you are done!
The 12-month paid in full is $1000.

Plus every member has the opportunity to refer members, and if someone signs up that they referred, they can earn a FREE month of membership!

What led you to start your business?

Alex had seen a need for a coworking space in Green Bay, that not only brought community but helped women in business build strong powerful relationships.

What unique life experiences do you bring to your business?

Alex not only owns The Nest but she also started her own Digital Boutique Agency, building websites for amazing businesses all over the country,

So she is a true entrepreneur! When going to school in Minnesota, she was able to try coworking spaces, and the idea to bring this culture back to Green Bay was born.

She and a previous co-founder created the ideas, and with the help of the other co-founders, Kaela Gedda, and Sonny Hennesy The Nest was born.
