Exactly what kind of images are you hoping to walk away from your session with? Do you find yourself drawn to anonymous images that show off the body Portraits? Editorial style? Have absolutely no idea? It can be very difficult to articulate your own style, so we don’t ask you to. Instead, the first thing that we ask clients to do is to create a “secret” Pinterest board for their photo session. If you are not a Pinterest user, you can also just send us some photos, but we find that the secret board on Pinterest is the best way for everyone to get a good visual of the concept we’re going for.
The key here? Turn off fear and overthinking. This isn't about thinking "I could never pull that off" but discovering what speaks to you. After pinning, we'll have a clear visual of your style, making it easier to capture images that truly reflect YOU. We have diverse categories, including detail shots that showcase beautiful aspects of the female form, beauty portraits with backdrop options, styled beauty portraits for a creative twist, classic boudoir style celebrating the female form, fine art nudes inspired by Renaissance art, bold semi-silhouettes, and curated magazine beauty shots for that centerfold feel. For Dude-oir and Couples sessions, prep is key—avoid partying the night before, bring props that connect to you, and for dudes, we specialize in fine art nudes with various wardrobe options. Don't forget to stretch and avoid drastic hair changes before the shoot. Makeup and retouching for dudes aim to enhance without full glam, ensuring you feel hot and pampered. Shaving in the morning ensures a fresh look, so get ready for a fantastic, personalized experience!

WARDROBE TIPS
Wardrobe stress? No worries! Honestly, it's not a big deal for our shoot. No need to go on a shopping spree; we can work wonders with a single scarf, sheets, or a sweater. The golden rule: only bring outfits you love! Skip anything that doesn't make you feel fantastic. Lingerie isn't a must; get creative with garter belts, thigh-highs, or your favorite tee. For beauty or portrait shots, structured pieces or statement items shine. Our shoot style is "I'm-Not-Trying-Too-Hard-Chic," embracing the "I woke up like this" vibe. Opt for structured pieces, solids, and items with texture; avoid tiny busy patterns and neon colors. Thigh-highs? Size up for a comfy fit. Properly fitted lingerie is a must, and we recommend local boutiques or True & Co. online. Steer clear of props unless you're a pro, and consider artistic nudes for an easy, free wardrobe option. GET YOUR BEAUTY SLEEP
Ready to rock your photoshoot? First things first, ensure you're well-rested; Photoshop can't fix tired! Plan ahead, arrive a few minutes early, and make it a pampering experience—get a manicure and pedicure for that polished look. Don't forget your lips; brush away dry skin and moisturize with Dr. Lipp's Miracle Balm for luscious lips. Bring 4-5 outfit options, a couple of pairs of shoes, and accessories. Keep your skin supple with twice-daily moisturizing, using non-bronzer illuminizing lotion on the day of the shoot. Create a playlist to get into the supermodel zone, and bring a soft, lightweight robe for makeup time. DON’T YOU DARE
Quick heads up for your shoot prep—skip the spray tan, as it tends to show streaks and unevenness in photos, especially with our low-key lighting and black-and-white focus. No tinted lotions or bronzers either. Bring sentimental jewelry, but steer clear of jerseys, military gear, weapons, sports equipment, masks, etc. Party the night before? Opt for a bubble bath and yoga instead; hangovers aren't the vibe. While we don't recommend a bottle of red wine for nerves, a two-drink maximum (champagne or white wine) is fine. Remember to stretch on the morning of your shoot; these poses may look easy, but flexibility helps. Hold off on a new haircut or color right before the shoot, and most importantly, no self-smack talk! WHAT TO EXPECT
As your shoot approaches, expect a confirmation from us to sync up on makeup, shoot times, and any last-minute queries. On the day, our glam squad will handle your hair and makeup unless you're going for a natural look. Arrive with a clean face, dry hair, and wear loose-fitting clothing. Your photographer will check out your wardrobe while you're in the chair. During the shoot, we'll guide you, create a relaxed atmosphere, and yes, there'll be laughter. Expect a bit of a workout, but it's all worth it! Your shoot time will fly, and by the end, we'll help you pack, schedule your photo reveal, and high five you for rocking it. Within three weeks, we'll reveal your proofs, and at the reveal appointment, you can order your favorite images and products. Within a month, your purchased products will be ready for pickup or shipment. And within six months, we're pretty sure you'll be ready for another round! Can't wait to capture your awesomeness!
